The Other Guys
Director: Adam McKay
Starring: Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes
Good if you want to see: Will Ferrell's buffoonery under the watchful eye of writer/director Adam McKay, who has thus far provided us with some of our greatest Will Ferrell Buffoonery Adventures (Anchorman, Step Brothers); Mark Wahlberg playing an angry cop that isn't Max Payne, because man, was Max Payne shit or what?

Step Up 3-D
Director: Jon Chu
Starring: Sharni Vinson, Rick Malambri
Good if you want to see: some dancing. In 3-D. Probably some kind of trite romance, too.

Middle Men
Director: George Gallo
Starring: Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Gabriel Macht
Good if you want to see: a comic look at the formation of internet porn as a big business in the '90s--which should hopefully answer answer some questions for all of us, such as, "People pay/have paid for porn on the internet?"

Twelve
Director: Joel Schumacher
Starring: Chace Crawford, Emma Roberts, 50-Cent
Good if you want to see: Gossip Girl Pretty Boy pretending to be both be 17 and a drug dealer--you decide which is less believable.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed (limited)
Director: J Blakeson
Starring: Gemma Arterton, Eddie Marsan, Martin Compston
Good if you want to see: Gemma Arterton attempting to escape her captors; Gemma Arterton with an oft-mascara-streaked face, if you have some kind of sick fetish.

The Oxford Murders (limited)
Director: Álex de la Iglesia
Starring: Elijah Wood, John Hurt
Good if you want to see: Hurt/Wood as professor/student to crack the math-code of a serial killer! Murder AND math in one film, at last!

Lebanon (limited)
Director:Samuel Maoz
Starring: Yoav Donat, Itay Tiran, Oshri Cohen
Good if you want to see: the experiences of a group of young Israeli soldiers during the First Lebanon War, because if Spielberg isn't going to make an HBO series about that, then someone has to do something.

The Wildest Dream
Director: Anthony Geffen
Starring: Susan Robertson, Robert Macfarlane, Peter Gillman
Good if you want to see: a documentary about George Mallory's obsession and attempts at scaling Mount Everest, which he famously said he wanted to climb, "Because it's there"--which has since become a classic justification for making out with someone unattractive at a party.
