Zach Braff Is Oz's Sidekick

Deadline reports that Zach Braff will be donating his hangdog pout to Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful, with the actor in final talks to play a character named "Frank." Though it seemed the film's casting had been pretty much wrapped up with the addition of Michelle Williams as the final witch, there was apparently also a "loyal but under-appreciated assistant to Oz" part to be filled, and that's what Braff has done. He joins James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and the aforementioned Williams in the 3-D Wizard of Oz prequel. Though, now that we've got this cast together, doesn't it seem like we should instead probably be making an indie film about a group of Manhattan friends hooking up and growing up?
