First Look at 'Django Unchained', Leonardo DiCaprio with a Hammer
From EntertainmentWeekly, here are the first photos from Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film in which freed slave Jamie Foxx attempts to reunite himself with his still-enslaved wife by probably killing everyone in his path in really brutal, cool ways. Above is the first look at Foxx's Django--a character Foxx describes as "Richard Roundtree meets Clint Eastwood," which sounds way more badass than the "André 3000's Midnight Cowboy" description I was thinking--alongside Christoph Waltz's Dr. King Schultz, a German mercenary who takes Django under his coat flaps as an emancipation protégé. Below is DiCaprio's Calvin Candie, a plantation resort owner who has the most evil-looking goatee since Evil Spock. He also seems to have a hammer as a sidekick.
"Oh, Hammie, you say the wildest things. Now let's get back to bludgeoning."
