Wes Anderson is halfway to his dream of working with big-time power couple Johnny Depp and Angela Lansbury.
While Lansbury's participation is still a Murder, She Wrote-level mystery, Depp is reportedly attached to star in the latest from Anderson, who is also said to be looking at Jude Law and prior coworkers Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, and Bill Murray for parts. The name of this new film? The Grand Budapest Hotel. So either Wes Anderson is going to build a big Hungarian inn and fluidly move his camera between rooms in a cross-section, or he's finally ready to do a hilarious parody of Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, at last giving the elderly art house crowd a Scary Movie they can understand. After all, who's the spoof version of Maggie Smith if not Angela Lansbury?
