Dennis Haysbert the New Michael Clarke Duncan of 'Sin City'

December 6, 2012

When the tragic, untimely death of Michael Clarke Duncan left Sin City 2 without its Manute, Allstate was there with a replacement to keep production going.

Heat Vision reports 24 President Dennis Haysbert is in talks to join Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, director Robert Rodriguez hoping that cavernous voice can fill the equally-cavernous hole left by Duncan.

"Manute is a character that has been part of the heart of the Sin City tales, and the late Michael Clarke Duncan beautifully established that role onscreen," said Rodriguez and Miller in a statement to Heat Vision. "We could not tell the story of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For without Manute and are thrilled to welcome Dennis Haysbert to the cast."

Meanwhile, Sin City's deadly little Miho, Devon Aoki, is also being replaced. Though she is still alive, her acting career seems to have stopped twitching around 2009, so Sucker Punch's Jamie Chung is stepping in to swing Miho's sword around the likes of returning stars Jessica Alba, Jaime King, Rosario Dawson, and Mickey Rourke, who will gratefully not be replaced by a bandaged tumor.
