The Muppets have long embraced classic film tropes (fish-out-of-water sequel in New York; not-very-good follow-up in space; Amy Adams in a role that delights; etc.), and it looks like things aren't going to change for their latest adventure, which will reportedly compound their cliché love by stacking an "in Europe!" sequel premise with an evil twin plot, giant diamond theft, and an "...again!" title. But, you know, it's the Muppets, so it will probably still be pretty charming.
According to EW, the official title of James Bobin's upcoming sequel is The Muppets... Again!, and they've got a loose synopsis of the film as well. As we've already learned, the film will follow in the Great Muppet Caper tradition of madcap heist of a giant diamond, as well as the Muppets from Space tradition of Ray Liotta. Now, we can add to that some new information: turns out the caper is committed by someone named Constantine, a thieving, greedy, criminal mastermind that is also a froggy little puppet who looks a lot like Kermit.
