Tom Hardy Getting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

February 27, 2013

Tom Hardy is teaming with Solar Pictures and director Greg Williams to develop and star in Samarkand, a film to explore those effects of war that reach beyond the loss of Reese Witherspoon to Chris Pine. Deadline reports Hardy would play a battle-addled SAS soldier returning from operations in the Middle East, now trying and failing to readjust to society as he suffers through post-traumatic stress disorder. The film won't be the first time Hardy will touch on a hot-button issue: he's got two separate anti-poaching dramas in development at Warner Bros., and will soon appear in Mad Max: Fury Road, Locke, Child 44, Animal Rescue, and Everest to combat the lessening issue of some films not having Tom Hardy pout around in them.
