First brought to life in Fast Five, when Vin Diesel polished his smooth head with a magical Under Armour shirt, Dwayne Johnsons's Luke Hobbs may now be taking on a life of his own in a spin-off film.
Word comes straight from Johnson, who recently sat down with Empire and was asked if one could expect a Hobbs movie, at last giving fans the characterization of a Fast film without all the burdensome distraction of cars. Said Johnson:
"Possibly... after this one. After the next one. Possibly. I'm not quite too sure. I know that's the goal, and we continue to build that character and have him take shape, form. But yes, can't wait."
So there you have it. The Fast franchise has a goal, and is building characters.
