Last week, it was reported that Avengers star Tom Hiddleston put on some heavy makeup, took some suggestive photos, and had a nice dinner with Relativity Media. But let this be a reminder to everyone: that does not imply consent to force him into a remake of The Crow.
Appreciating that fact, The Crow's producers have reportedly already moved on to courting another actor--one whose self-esteem is maybe a little lower thanks to his failing at getting his shot at a Thor movie. Deadline says Alexander Skarsgard is now the frontrunner to play the lead, and with his schedule free thanks to that Tarzan movie falling apart, the role is said to be his if he wants it.
Of course, prior to this, we've already heard that Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg, James McAvoy, and most recently Hiddleston were likely to star in the remake, so you probably shouldn't put all that much stock into any of this. Nothing is final until the Relativity Media chimney flows white with grease paint.
