When director Justin Lin left the Fast franchise earlier this month, reports blamed the departure on Universal's desire for a too-quick turnaround, not on Lin's staring into a bottomless Vin and for the first time knowing eternity. But turns out they were right, as Diesel today confirmed to CinemaCon crowds that Universal is indeed trying to rush another Fast/Furious out by next summer, with the studio officially setting a July 11, 2014 release for the seventh film. Stars Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, and Tyrese are all reportedly set to return, but in a new twist, now they'll all just pile into one car.
