Your weekend box office:

1. 42 - $27.3 million--the biggest opening ever for any baseball movie, at last earning Jackie Robinson a hard-fought victory in giving a solid "fuck you" to Kevin Costner.

2. Scary Movie 5 - $15.1 million, marking a new series low previously set by content.

3. The Croods - $13.2 million, still holding on to third place, no doubt thanks to the buzz coming off that Croods-branded firm tofu.

4. G.I. Joe: Retaliation - $10.8 million, The Rock and Guns still proving a suitable stopgap until there's more The Rock and Cars.

5. Evil Dead - $9.5 million.
