Aimed at snooty foreign audiences that can't enjoy Ryan Gosling dragging a guy around by the mouth without asking stupid questions like why?, these new international trailers (via) for Only God Forgives take the time to go beyond stylish violence and spell out the plot of Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive follow-up. Not to spoil anything, but basically: Gosling's brother gets killed in Thailand; Gosling's disconcertingly dignified mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) is like, "Go fight those guys who killed your brother"; Gosling is like, "Fine." It's a pretty simple premise, but like a high school rager in someone's basement, it also looks like a pretty good time given some pumping music, party lights, and a criminal mom weirdly encouraging of spilling fluids.
