A Step Brothers sequel still painfully eludes us, but Will Ferrell has at least found another way to turn blended families into a canvas for man-child violence. He'll reportedly star alongside Vince Vaughn in Daddy's Home, a film about how new daddy and old daddy sometimes fight in hilarious ways that don't require you to, hurry, call the cops while mommy tries to stop this. Ferrell returns to nice-guy mode to play "a mild-mannered radio executive" and the well-intentioned stepfather. Vaughn is, naturally, the "freewheeling, freeloading" jackass biological father who unexpectedly returns to compete for his children's affection. Through their quarreling, kids will learn that paternity feuds are basically the same as picking a favorite Old School character. Mostly in that Luke Wilson won't be the answer.
