Goldblum, Pullman Step Up To Defend Earth from Aliens and Traitorous Will Smith

Occasional scientific nerd Jeff Goldblum and intermittent U.S. president Bill Pullman are attached to return to the roles they fairly often have in the sequel to Independence Day. Movies.com reports director and just-as-frequent White-House-destroyer Roland Emmerich said as much at a recent White House Down Q&A, where the director said the two are "on board so far" while elaborating that--despite Will Smith wanting Earth to die of aliens this time, so he can come back later with his son--he's still hoping to get a cameo from Smith. Appearances by Judd Hirsch, Robert Loggia, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Harvey Fierstein, Adam Baldwin, and Harry Connick Jr. remain dependent on our online petition for all those people to appear as new chuckling virus faces Jeff Golblum can use. Someone start that up, please.
