'The Lego Movie' Trailer Looks Like a Lego Movie in the Best Way

Well, it looks like the directors of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street have done it again: taken a brand from their childhood and made it into a better film than you had any reason to expect it to be. This time they've made a Lego movie that boasts an impressive array of CGI quasi-cameos that puts even Wreck-It Ralph to shame, featuring--as name-dropped by Lego Morgan Freeman God--Superman, Wonder Woman, 1980-something space guy, Michelangelo (painter), Michelangelo (turtle), the 2002 NBA All-Stars, and a ton more (all as interlocking plastic, naturally).

But vastly more impressive than the rights management is that this Lego movie actually looks like a Lego movie. Like, you know how Lego video game cut scenes kind of look like they're made of Lego, but more look like they're made of pliable CGI that loosely resembles Lego? This looks enough like Lego that you'll fear stepping on it:
