Simpsons To Meet Griffins in Very Specially Pandering 'Family Guy'

Because you can only take so many wild swings at pop culture references before you hit society's cache of Simpsons quotes, Peter, Meg, and the rest of the Family Guy family are headed to Springfield in what should prove the ultimate event of people claiming something used to be better. The cross-over will occur on a fall 2014 episode of Family Guy in which the Griffins take a road trip, doubtlessly mention that they don't even know what state they're in, and end up in the Simpsons' hometown.

There, EW reports, "they cross paths with Homer, who graciously greets his new 'albino' visitors, and the two families become fast friends. Stewie is impressed with Bart and his assortment of pranks, Lisa tries to figure out exactly what it is that she's good at, and Marge and Lois do some bonding. Meanwhile, Peter and Homer argue over which beer is better: Pawtucket or Duff." Sadly, we may never get an answer to that question, as around then a vast black hole of syndication will open up, and life on Earth--long in decline and years past when it should have ended--will from that point on merely repeat itself in one-hour blocks, five days a week. But just prior to that, there will probably be a joint musical sequence, too.
