"The Butler" Now "Lee Daniels' The Butler"

Looks like the director of Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire is adding another superfluously lengthy title to his filmography. In response to Warner Bros. and The Weinstein Company's dispute over name right to "The Butler," the MPAA's title registration bureau last week ruled that TWC can go ahead and use "The Butler" but must reportedly tack on some other extraneous words to differentiate it from Warner's like-named 1916 short. So, now The Butler is Lee Daniels' The Butler, and all marketing must reflect that with the director's name being at least three-fourths the size of the "Butler" part. In the interest of consistency, also now Daniels' The Paperboy is going to be The Paperboy, and Yes This Is the One Where Nicole Kidman Pisses on the "High School Musical" Kid.
