Benedict Cumberbatch Sadly Washes Self of Del Toro's 'Crimson Peak'


Fans excited to see Benedict Cumberbatch and Guillermo del Toro combine their signature unusual and kind of scary looks will be disappointed to learn that's not happening anymore. For undisclosed reasons, Cumberbatch has reportedly left del Toro's haunted house film, Crimson Peak, marking the second such casting shake-up after Emma Stone left and was quickly replaced by Mia Wasikowska. Production is still scheduled for a January start with Wasikowska, Charlie Hunnam, Jessica Chastain, and a palpable hole where there should be this:
