'Divergent' Trailer: Here's Your New Would-Be Hungergame


In a dystopian future where society is broken into distinct factions, free will is banned, and broad themes of individuality are not to be subtle in the least, Shailene Woodley is a "divergent." Like you, the outcast high schooler, she totally does not fit in with the established cliques, and because of that, Kate Winslet considers her a threat that must be eliminated. Lucky for Woodley, this is a young-adult sci-fi adaptation, so there is of course a strapping young love interest to help her out. Also, there is knife-throwing, because this future is indeed dark and filled with circus acts. Here's the trailer:
