In Other Affleck News: Casey Will Travel in Neuropsychology

Though Bat Affleck is stealing all the headlines today, there's some other developing Affleck news far less likely to make anyone livid. THR reports that Casey, the less crime-fighting-adept Affleck, is re-teaming with his Ain't Them Bodies Saints director David Lowery for a science fiction tale based on a short story from Paul Broks' Into the Silent Land: Travels in Neuropsychology anthology. Titled To Be Two, the film is set in a future where Casey Afflecks can be teleported through a process of scanning, replication, and vaporization of the original Affleck.

But what happens when the teleporter's Affleck vaporizer malfunctions, leaving us with identical Casey Afflecks on both Mars and Earth? How do their experiences from then on differentiate them as people? Will it be like that episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation when a transporter malfunction created dual Rikers in different places, and the one Riker gets another shot at Troi? Probably not; this is described as being more like Looper, with authorities attempting to hunt down and kill the original, as you can't have two Afflecks running around. Unless one of them is Batman.
