Here's the new trailer for Captain Phillips, Paul Greengrass's gritty, unofficial Splash sequel that sees Tom Hanks once again intrigued by something he sees in the water and almost killed by it. This time it's Somali pirates--the Daryl Hannahs of the Horn of Africa--who don't want Hanks to return home, and with the U.S. government again intervening in the affair, it's not clear how this one's going to end. Sure, you could assume it will just follow the actual story the film is based on, but didn't Splash, Too already burn us there?
