Rooney Mara Is Going To Fall in Love with Cate Blanchett

With Brian De Palma's Passion, we saw Noomi Rapace get into some psycho-sexual lesbian drama with her boss, Rachel McAdams. Now, it's the other Girl with a Dragon Tattoo's turn for some subordinate, same-sex suspense with a married blonde in Carol. Rooney Mara has reportedly just signed on to star in the Todd Haynes film, which re-teams the director with his I'm Not There star Cate Blanchett. Mara will play a department store clerk in '50s New York who dreams of a better life. She sees that life in older wife Blanchett, and ends up falling in love with her. Sounds pretty sexy.
