Benedict Cumberbatch Replaced by Other Internet-Beloved Nerdy Villain

With Benedict Cumberbatch recently leaving Crimson Peak, director Guillermo del Toro has consulted with various Livejournal communities, owners of Men of BBC America wall calendars, and so on to find a replacement that won't upset anyone, and it seems he's found one in Tom Hiddleston. The Thor and Avengers villain will reportedly join Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, and Charlie Hunnam in the film, known so far just to be a haunted house thriller. Should Hiddleston also depart before the film's January shoot, already del Toro's think tank has come up with backup alternatives in one of the last couple Doctors or whichever guy from Supernatural.
