Gerard Butler: Egyptian God of Deserts, Storms, and Foreigners

September 24, 2013

The Ancient Egyptian god of the desert, storms, and foreign lands may soon be played by Modern Scotland's god of hostile romantic-comedies, sit-ups, and Phantom of the Opera remakes. According to Deadline, Gerard Butler is in talks to play Set in Gods of Egypt, director Alex Proyas's mythology lesson taught by 43-year-old European guys. Butler will seemingly be the antagonist, portraying the god who killed his brother Osiris; Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has already been cast as Horus, Osiris's son, out for vengeance against Set. This is surprisingly not already a third-person action game available on the Playstation Network.
