Jason Segel To Steal Maple Syrup for Your Entertainment


Jason Segel will steal $20 million in maple syrup in what would sound like a pretty ridiculous heist film had Nicolas Cage not already stolen the Declaration of Independence. The actor is reportedly attached to star in Identity Thief director Seth Gordon's latest tale of goofy theft, a still-untitled comedy about the real-life theft of 16,000 45-gallon barrels of Québécois pancake topping. The crime was revealed last year in a Montreal Gazette article that refers to the stolen product as "amber gold." That part better make it into the script.
