The oft-asked question of "what now, James Franco?" today has a pretty benign-for-Franco answer: just a movie about the late actor Sal Mineo. The Franco-directed Sal has actually been done for a couple years but, to promote its October 22 on-demand release, just recently finally got this trailer. The film focuses on the tail end of Mineo's life, when his acclaim and teen idol status from Rebel Without a Cause and Exodus had faded after his coming out, leaving the actor struggling to make a comeback. Instead, he got murdered. SPOILER. Even less of a real spoiler: yes, James Franco also co-stars in this.
