'Noah' Trailer: Darren Aronofsky's Disaster Blockbuster Meets Sunday School

When the flood waters come to wash Earth of its evils, Russel Crowe is assigned the task of packing up all the stuff God was hoping to save in Darren Aronofsky's Noah. From what's shown in this first set of trailers, it seems like the director has pretty much made the story you loosely recall, only now it's also flooded by the CGI spectacle of a disaster movie. Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Douglas Booth co-star as the trophy family Crowe is going to preserve; Anthony Hopkins plays Methuselah, and Ray Winstone seems to play the film's central non-liquid antagonist, a heathen tribe leader who of course tries to forcefully board the ark once all the biblical flooding starts. It's just as was later warned of in the Book of Job: you're gonna get some hop-ons.

Wonder how disappointed God was when Noah shaved his head and He realized He hadn't chosen Eddie Vedder.

Disney's Maleficent takes the villainess of their 1959 animated Sleeping Beauty and broadens and reexamines the famous tale from her perspective. And you know what? Judging by this trailer, it turns out she might not have been so evil after all. She might have just been a scary... / Continue →
