Mitch Hurwitz Directing Film That Still Isn't 'Arrested Development' Movie
Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz is attached to direct a film that, no, is not the long-promised Arrested Development movie. That frozen banana is going to be dangled in front of us still longer. What Hurwitz is reportedly doing is Guinea Pigging, a yet-to-be written comedy for Fox 2000. Based on this 2008 New Yorker article from Carl Elliott, the film is described as a "sophisticated comedy about a human drug-test subject who volunteers for testing at a pharmaceutical company and experiences unusual side effects." Scripting duties have been given to Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, because, logically, when your goal is a "sophisticated comedy," who you want are the writers of Herbie Fully Loaded, The Pacifier, Taxi, Let's Go to Prison, and Hell Baby.
