Bad news, Grudge Match, 47 Ronin, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Here's your weekend box office:

1. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - $29.9 million. 'Tis the season for checking up on Orlando Bloom to make sure he's still doing alright.

2. Frozen - $28.8 million, finally putting the snowman comic relief back in Christmas.

3. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues - $20.2 million, by the beard of Santa.

4. American Hustle - $19.6 million. Audiences just can't resist the delightful Amy Adams.

5. The Wolf of Wall Street - $18.5 million. Turns out the lavish indulgences of a greedy Wall Street thief was a bit too real of a Grinch tale.
