Like the opposite of parody porn, Michael Winterbottom's series-turned-film The Trip is destined to live on mainly as clips watched just for the impressions. Most famous of these impressions: stars Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon doing almost two minutes of Michael Caine, a scene that has over two-and-a-half million views on just one of its various YouTube uploads.
So, in promoting the sequel, The Trip to Italy, IFC isn't wasting any time getting to what will surely be the follow-up's most fulfilling meal: more Michael Caine. With the below first clip, they clearly assuage any fears that Coogan can't top "she was only fifteen"/"you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off." The new Caine has been drawn in the sand, and it is "I'm not gonna bury another Batman."
