With Disney and Jon Favreau already at work on a Jungle Book movie, Warner Bros. is teaming with Ron Howard to produce their own competent yet unmemorable take on the material. According to THR, Howard will produce and direct the studio's live-action adaptation, taking over from Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu to put his completely satisfactory spin on things. Harry Potter series writer Steve Kloves' daughter, Callie Kloves, has written a screenplay but a cast isn't yet set. Favreau and Howard can duke it out amongst themselves over who gets to have Vince Vaughn play Shere Khan.
