Louis Zamperini went from being a troubled kid, to an Olympian, to a downed pilot adrift in the Pacific, to a POW, to an motivational speaker happy he was not in a prison or raft anymore. As far as uplifting true stories go, his is clearly one of the most impressive in which angels are not credited. But, with this film telling of his tale, who is credited is Angelina Jolie and the Coen brothers. Jolie directs a script last drafted by the Coens, while Tom Brokaw narrates this special Olympics trailer, lending even more legitimacy to all this mawkishness. Get ready to be the most inspired!
