Will Smith in Talks To Fight Terrorists That Aren't Aliens This Time

Long a foe to those who would blow up our White House or otherwise interrupt the pursuit of life, liberty, and Jaden Smith's Happyness, Will Smith may once again take on terrorists for Brilliance. The Wrap reports that Smith is in early talks to lead the sci-fi thriller, meant to be a big tentpole picture for Legendary Pictures and Universal. The Girl Is in Trouble's Julius Onah is directing from a David Koepp script that's based on Marcus Sakey's novel of the same name. Smith would play a federal agent and a "brilliant"--one born with extraordinary cognitive abilities--who uses his powers to hunt down terrorists. Uncle Phil would be proud.
