'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Sequel May Head to Dimension X, Where Brains Have Faces
With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles proving such a box office hit that a follow-up is already underway, talk has turned to what other, non-turtle characters in the franchise could be made grosser with semi-lifelike CGI. As such, sequel discussions have logically moved to Dimension X, where a brain with a face inside a fat man in panties could be made to look super, super gross.
"Fuck yes," director Jonathan Liebesman said when asked by ScreenRant if our new Ninja Turtles could head to the unearthly home of Krang and his Technodrome, thus unlocking a whole other world of playset options.
Producer Brad Fuller backed up those words, saying, "We've talked about those worlds already," while producer Andrew Form added, "There are scripts that have been written for [the first] movie that integrated those worlds into it already..."
Still, it's not yet a sure thing. Though Liebesman said he "would love to" take the Turtles there, he ultimately added, "I mean it's not up to me. It's up to all of us to decide."
As fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game know all too well, whether or not he makes it to Dimension X may have less to do with intent than how many quarters mother Michael Bay will shell out.
