'Community' Comes Back in March, Now with 'More Britishness'

Revived by Yahoo alongside the concept of visiting Yahoo for something besides your 1997 email, Community is finally coming back this March. At the Television Critics Association press tour today, Yahoo reportedly revealed the date for the cult sitcom's streaming comeback, setting a March 17 debut. The sixth season won't be arriving all at once, though: just as they're sticking with commercials over subscription fees, Yahoo Screen is also stubbornly clinging to the weekly release format. Two episodes will arrive on the 17th, and the remaining eleven will roll out over subsequent Tuesdays.

Of the shift from network television to THE INTERNET, series creator Dan Harmon said, "As agreeable as NBC was, the corset loosens a little bit. There's a tiny bit more Britishness to the comedy." Expect far dryer Doctor Who parody.
