Archaeologists of a bygone society recorded in "Were You a '90s Kid?" quizzes and some stray TV Guides at a garage sale, Lifetime has been tireless in their in-depth investigation of the culture that was 1992 broadcast television. With the discovery of a book about the rare but not entirely valuable Dustin Diamond, they pieced together the crude portrait of the past that was The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story. More recently, they've begun to research what ever happened to predictability with The Unauthorized Full House Story. And now, they will set straight in the history books whether Jason Priestley and Luke Perry ever hung out, because Lifetime is doing The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story. The original TV movie will reportedly focus on 90210's first four seasons, looking at "the drama between cast members and producers both on and off-set," as well as "the show's several near-cancelations and its subsequent rise to ratings hit and pop culture phenomenon." Sorry, but the dark, behind-the-scenes story of Family Matters remains, for now, a secret between Reginald VelJohnson and his fevered night terrors.
