Johnny Depp, Edgar Wright, Bret McKenzie Teaming for Gaiman Adaptation

October 26, 2015

Pulled together by so many dark, unkempt hair tendrils, Johnny Depp, Edgar Wright, and Bret McKenzie are teaming up for an adaptation of a Neil Gaiman book. THR reports that Wright is attached to direct Depp in Fortunately, the Milk, based on Gaiman's children's story of the same name. Flight of the Conchords' McKenzie is writing the script, which focuses on a father who goes out for milk and returns with a New York Times bestseller's worth of wild adventure tales. Before the project actually happens, though, Wright must first shoot his currently in-development Baby Driver, while Depp must try to work out how the title milk could be applied as a sort of wan face paint.
