The Impossible director J.A. Bayona is shifting from the natural disaster of tsunamis to the largely unnatural disaster of prehistoric monsters being brought back from extinction to go on an amusement park rampage. The Catalan filmmaker has reportedly signed on to direct the sequel to Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first film, has moved on to direct Star Wars: Episode IX but will stay on to co-write the screenplay with frequent collaborator Derek Connolly. Disappointingly, the sequel is expected to again focus on Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, leaving unexplored the Lost World-like idea of focusing on Jimmy Buffett's character and an escaped dinosaur rampaging Margaritaville.
