If you still haven't read Alan Moore's seminal Batman story, The Killing Joke, don't start now. Turns out, you can avoid the hassle of reading speech balloons altogether now, as Warner Bros. has produced a faithful, R-rated animated version of the iconic comic. The film sees Batman: The Animated Series legends Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprise their respective voice roles as Richvigilante and Long-faced Clown, and it's coming to home video later this year after its Comic Con debut.
Here's the trailer. When you see the bow-wearing, S&M-clad Commissioner Gordon, make sure to now envision him as J.K. Simmons.
