Torture pornographer Eli Roth is taking a side-step from torture porn to vigilante porn with, if we're being honest, probably quite a bit of torture still in there. He's reportedly signed on to direct Death Wish, MGM and Paramount's long-in-development remake of the 1974 film of the same name. Bruce Willis is already attached to play the role Charles Bronson made famous in the original--a man who, after the respective brutal murder of his wife and sexual assault of his daughter, takes justice into his own hands. While the book the film was based on was an indictment of such action, the film was notoriously gung-ho about going out and executing criminals at will. Hey, I wonder what take the guy who made Hostel is going to go with!
