What a shame. It seems after his mouth-breathing Spider-Man audition didn't take, Josh Hutcherson's insecurities led him right into the waiting arms of a Dane Cook movie directed by Torque. Variety says:

Josh Hutcherson has signed on to topline and exec produce the teen horror-comedy pic "Detention."

Indie project, which also stars Dane Cook, marks the second feature for helmer Joseph Kahn, who is best known for directing hit musicvideos such as Eminem's "Without Me."

Story centers on teens who must survive their final year of high school. Standing in their way is a slasher-movie killer who has seemingly come to life. Kahn and Mark Palermo penned the script.

Our little Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D is growing up so fast. Executive producing, now! Our Firehouse Dog Kid is a Firehouse Dog Man.
