Justin Bieber's Formative Years Will Be Explored in New Biopic

July 19, 2010

If the producers of the Valentine's Day have their way, their film's sequel (New Year's Eve, naturally) will see teen megastar Justin Bieber and his Möbius swoosh of hair as one-half of one of the innumerable romantic pairings. But before we can have that--just as we need Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America films before we can see the characters teamed for The Avengers--we obviously need to first introduce audience members without a subscription to Teen Beat to this sprite-like character with a Bieber origin story. It's going to be just like 8 Mile, except with Usher telling a young Canadian YouTube star to wear brighter and brighter shirts! Sorry, society:

HollywoodLife.com can exclusively confirm that a script similar to the 2002 film 8 Mile is in development – and close to completion! “There currently isn’t a final script, but just like Eminem did in 8 Mile, Justin will star!” an industry insider tells us.

The Biebster first professed his desire to star in a movie to Teen Vogue back in April, telling the magazine, “We’re trying to set up a movie for me in the near future—it’s going to be similar to the story of how I got discovered – kinda like my own version of 8 Mile.”

That partless hair helmet is really gonna pop in 3-D. Also, this is the worst thing.
