Christopher Nolan's list of guys who could direct Superman--of which Ben Affleck was certainly not a part of--is finally down to one name, and it's the name of the one who uses all the slow-mo. It's been confirmed that Zack Snyder will be bringing all his years of green-screen, comic book-adapting experience from 300 and Watchmen to the Man of Steel, directing under the tutelage of Nolan from a script by David Goyer. Supposedly "visionary" coolguy director Snyder was eager to say how amazingly amazing everything is already going:
"In the initial meetings, he’s been super amzaingly smart and also amazingly kind, filmmaker-to-filmmaker,” he said of Nolan. “I have great respect for him. The process has been amazing so far, and it looks like nothing but pluses."
While the film is still in its nascence, the rumor is Goyer's script will feature Superman 2 antagonist General Zod, which is sure starting to sound like Gerard Butler in a black V-neck whether we like it or not.
