- Kevin Smith has revealed that Nicholas Braun--one of the stars of the upcoming Red State--will replace Seann William Scott as the lead in Hit Somebody, Smith's hockey film based on the Warren Zevon song of the same name. Daring to confront the same, daunting, replacing-Seann William Scott task faced by the guys who had to play Stiffler's cousins in the American Pie spin-offs.

- Here (and above) is the new poster for I Am Number Four, and evidence that someone didn't give DreamWorks the memo about there already being enough blue & orange posters to make us spit.

- David Zucker--of the Zucker, Abrahams, Zucker team that put Leslie Nielsen in Airplane! the Naked Gun series--has written a nice tribute to the recently-deceased actor. Some of it involves a fart machine.

- Richard Kelly has already written a graphic novel supplement to Southland Tales: a comic telling the first three chapters of a story followed up by the film's proceeding three chapters. Now, he's revealed he'll do whatever it takes to get that prequel story told, even if it means low-budget animation. How Lucasian of him.
