'Monster's Ball' Screenwriter Hit in Head by Train

Will Rokos, one of the Academy Award-nominated writers of the 2001 film Monster's Ball, lived out one of the MTA's nightmare scenarios Saturday when he was smacked in the head by a 2 train while leaning beyond the yellow line. According to the New York Post, the 57-year-old was "semi-conscious" when authorities arrived, and was reportedly in critical but stable condition as of yesterday. After this weekend's loss of Some Folks Call It a Sling Blade director George Hickenlooper, anyone who's ever worked with Billy Bob Thornton should be on high alert.
