George Clooney in 'Gravity', Everyone in 'New Year's Eve', More!

- Alfonso Cuarón has finally found a suitable replacement for a too-busy Robert Downey Jr., casting George Clooney as the male lead in his upcoming sci-fi film, Gravity. Any rich, suave, superhero type will do, apparently.

- Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Zac Efron are in talks to join Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Biel, Lea Michele, and Abigail Breslin in Valentine's Day's infuriating thematic sequel, New Year's Eve. What an interesting, diverse cast you get by lackadaisically heaving a handful of darts at an old Us Weekly.

- Spike Jonze and Charlie Kauffman have reportedly been pitching a new, yet-to-be-written film. Nothing is yet known about the project, but Yay!

- An Oklahoma appeals court has handed a victory to Disney-Pixar, ruling against stock car driver Mark Brill, who claimed Cars character Lightning McQueen was a little too similar to his actual, non-sentient racing vehicle. The case of Kung Fu Panda v. Zen-Bear remains unresolved.
