Prepare yourself to see Kevin James once again tackle a mundane career, and I don't just mean because of The Zookeeper and the lingering threat of another Paul Blart. Sony Pictures has just bought a pitch that would feature James and his buddy Adam Sandler recreating the "guys who work together" magic of I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry, this time with the pair starring as parking valets who witness a murder, forcing them to go on the run. Considering the only broad stereotype I know about valets is that they're always smoking weed on the job--and seeing that Sandler and James aren't really known for avoiding broad stereotypes--I suppose that rapid devolution into Pineapple Express sort of makes sense.
James has yet to write the script, but when he does it will once again be a collaboration with Nick Bakay--co-writer of Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Zookeeper--so you just know they're going to nail that overweight-guy-with-a-pedestrian-job voice once again. After all, the hardest part, the title, is already taken care of. It's called Valet Guys. That's the name of it.
