Give Rob Lowe 15 Seconds To Act Tormented

January 18, 2011

In I Melt with You, the comedy world's go-to handsome prick, Rob Lowe, trades some of his I-know-I'm-good-looking smugness for harrowing, eye-bag-inducing drama. The Mark Pellington film will soon premiere at Sundance, and as such, there's now this incredibly brief teaser. Check out how melodramatic Rob Lowe can act:

According to the Sundance website (via /Film), there are also parts of the film that are not Rob Lowe Sad Face. Specifically:

Richard, Ron, Tim, and Jonathan (Lowe, Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane, and Christian McKay) are friends from college who gather for a weekend each year to celebrate their friendship and catch up with each other. On the surface, they look like other men going through life: they have careers and families and responsibilities. But as with many people, there is more to them than meets the eye. As the weekend progresses, they go down the rabbit hole of excess. Fueled by sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll, their bacchanalian reunion drives them to an unexpected place where they are forced to confront themselves and the choices they’ve made.

So, The Hangover, but emotionally exhausting?

The film's Sundance YouTube page will be posting more clips throughout the week, so keep up there if you're interested.
