'Gnomeo and Juliet' Somehow Now Topping Box Office

Your weekend box office top five:

1. Gnomeo and Juliet - $14.2 million, dropping over 25% since last week but still faring better than new releases Hall Pass and Drive Angry 3-D, which opened at an abysmal ninth with $5.1 million. Guys, if you don't pay for Nicolas Cage driving angrily, Hollywood will start to think you don't even want to see Nicolas Cage driving angrily.

2. Hall Pass - $13.4 million. Not family-friendly enough to take the top spot, or not enough of a Shakespeare pun? We'll never know.

3. Unknown - $12.4 million, plus all the Battle Damage Liam Neeson action figure sales.

4. Just Go With It - The titular plea to just fucking accept this Adam Sandler/Jennifer Aniston romantic-comedy worked again, with the film maintaining 4th place for another week, taking in $11.1 million.

5. I Am Number Four - $11 million. Hard to believe it's dropping in the ranks so fast when it's got that catchy, overheard-at-a-deli-counter title working for it.
