James Franco Is Great, Powerful, Oz

February 25, 2011

Actor/writer/director/producer/artist/student/teacher/Broadway star/Oscar host/nominee/SCIENTIST is finally closing the deal to play the title role in Sam Raimi's Oz, the Great and Powerful. Whatever issues were previously standing between him and the part have apparently been ironed out, and he's now set to star in the Wizard of Oz prequel, which looks at how an earthly man got to be behind the Wizard's curtain in the first place, and how he got Pink Floyd's "Money" to start playing right when Dorothy is entering the world of color. Coincidence enhanced by drugs isn't a good enough answer anymore.
